The bookshop is open Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 4.30pm on Platform 1 at Pitlochry railway station.
People donate all kinds of books and we sell them on at low prices.
Most books sell at £1 each.
All the money raised is donated to our six charities.
Tea, coffee or hot chocolate is on sale at £1.50 per cup..
The shop is run entirely by volunteers. No one is paid.
ScotRail generously gives our premises free.
Our only expenses are electricity and insurance so our charities benefit from each book we sell.
Book donations are always needed.
Our customers come from all over Britain and from all over the World.

We have a new storeroom but need money for its renovation
Book donations are the Bookshop’s lifeline but we are now receiving so many that space is at a premium. Yet again, ScotRail has come to our rescue and has offered us an old storeroom which is situated further along the platform.
The store would solve our space problems and allow us to improve the Bookshop too. However it is in poor condition and requires some expensive improvements before it can be occupied.
We have been able to acquire some grants towards the cost but before we can proceed, we need to raise £5000 and are appealing to the public for financial help.
There are plastic collection boxes in various locations and, in the Bookshop, there are details of a sponsorship scheme which may be of interest to those who wish to contribute a larger sum.
Details of the sponsorship scheme are available in the Bookshop.
Thank you for any support you are able to give.
